The brightly flowering tulip fields in the Dutch polders draw thousands of tourists each year. Observed from the sky they remind you of a Picasso painting with their straight GPS-created lines and colours. However, after a few weeks of flowering the tulips need to be topped. This is done so that the plant puts all its energy in the bulb, which will increase the quality of the end product.
Horizon Flowers from Zwaagdijk, NL, is using a custom build 1.80m topper build by Dutch firm JVS-Techniek. For transport the cab swings on top of the machine, so it can be transported on a special trailer behind a van.
