Black Beauty and the Grimme | Gebr. de Zeeuw | Fendt 720 & 724 S4 + Grimme SV 260

Do you remember last spring? We filmed this impressive outfit planting potatoes: Well, the Black Beauties are back! This time lifting those potatoes planted back in April. This time the team consists of a Fendt 720 Vario and Fendt 724 Vario S4 both using brand new Grimme SV 260 bunker harvesters to lift them seed potatoes. A fleet of four Fendt tractors (2x 415 2x 820) are using 18 and 26 tonne Beco trailers to cart the crop back to the cold store.

The potato harvesters are new this harvest and replaced a self propelled AVR bunker harvester and trailed Dewulf machine. The machines speed along at +6 km/h lifting the tubers on some light clay soil in the North East Polder, Holland. An impressive sight seeing these two high capacity machines at work! The famous black Fendt colour happens to be the signature of this farm, one of the largest and specialised seed potato growers in the country.
